Medicinal mushrooms (mycotherapy)

I've just added this range of mushroom tinctures to my pharmacopoeia. The chemical compounds in mushrooms have been used for centuries in natural medicine. They have an abundance of helpful actions for us - this article lists: antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, antioxidant, immunomodulating, digestive, antidepressant, hypotensive ... and more.

I chose these tinctures because they're easier to test and take than dried mushroom powders or teas. Also the dried versions can raise our Histamine levels - something a lot of people need to avoid. Tinctures are concentrated extracts so they also contain more of the helpful compounds. The range I chose is grown, distilled and extracted on the Isle of Wight so nice and local to me. They're dual extracts - which means the fat soluble and water soluble compounds are in the final product.

I'm enjoying testing myself for them at the moment - and taking them as needed. The taste is a little unusual - I'm adding them to warm water. As I sat down to write this, I tested myself and took 5 drops of Cordyceps. It's perfect as I begin to prepare for afternoon clinic as it gives energy and stamina and helps us oxygenate.

Book in if you'd like to be tested for mycotherapy.
