Belly Massage workshop

Learn how to rub your own abdomen safely and therapeutically. Soothes and calms digestion and the vagus nerve (creates a relaxation response). Also improves circulation and detoxification thereby supporting fertility, menstrual and bladder issues. It's ideal for IBS and constipation!
Two-part training: 16 and 23 October - 7pm to 8.30pm. Dorchester Yoga & Therapy Centre
If you've been for a massage with me, you will know that I like to include the abdomen. This is because:
(a) that's where most of our vital organs are - and massaging the area improves circulation to and from the organs
(b) it's incredibly soothing to the whole body and mind
(c) most of us have digestive issues ...
In this training, we will look at the physical, emotional and energetic anatomy of the belly area. Then you will learn how to apply safe and appropriate massage techniques to your own abdomen in a private small group setting. In the week in between dates, you are invited to practise the techniques at home (a bottle of oil will be provided). On the second evening, we will explore the results and then go deeper.
I first trained in Massage in 1995. Through my own digestive issues (lifelong coeliac disease), I discovered the benefits of self massage of the abdomen. And so I went on to do Abdominal Therapy training.
I'd love to share my passion for gut health with you. Hope you can join us! Spaces are limited so book soon!
